WW1 Gas Mask

I had so much fun making this!!!

Inspired by WW1 Gas Masks, for a design project i had to create a mask from scratch. It is made from Plaster of Paris, wire mesh, the bottom of some cups for the eyes, tubing from a hardware store and cloth glued and spray painted to look like canvas.

In the spirit of Halloween, i decided on adding a nasty afterthought. The air filter has been blown off, leaving the occupant appearing to hemorrhage around the mouthpiece. But this can also be seen as an anti-war statement.
